Tried it on my two black cars…
I LOVE this stuff! It actually does look great on my black, black accent package mustang. It’s not that difficult to buff out, but once you do, my black mustang and even my black everyday driver flex look brand new. I use something else on my trim, but in a pinch, if I’m running out of time or just feeling lazy, this will work great on trim as well.

Easy to apply
I have used this on 4 cars, a couple are kinda high end. Easy to apply and remove. No frets about if it’s dry enough to didn’t take, like wax can be. The depth of shine is very good and lasts about 6 months. I use at least 2 coats per session so I do not miss any places.Goosenest rating; buy with confidence

What a nice surprise
I’ve not had a lot of good luck with this company.Unbelievable I’m actually more satisfied with this product than I expected. You do not need a large amount in order to make it work. The consistency of the product caught me by surprise since it’s almost solidified gel. The results were tremendous. I think the consistency helps not a lot of the product.Very satisfied and will use it again

Good Product easy to apply if you follow directions.
This was my first time using this product. Ive slowly been converting my products over to the Chemical Guys product line. I am heading to Kure Beach on vacation in a week so i wanted to get a coat of something on my truck before we left. I watched a lot of reviews and finally chose this product for a "top coat". I watch several videos including a couple from the Chemical Guys website. Any product with ceramic coating can be tricky if you don't follow directions on the application. My first impression was the product is very thick and gelly. When you watch the videos you see the instrictor put four pea size drops and it easily coats the vehicle. My first several attempts the "pea size" drops rolled right off the microfiber applicator. I finally after a few attempts learned how to manage the application. I didn't think it coated anything like the videos i watched. It is important to get even distribution of the product for even ceramic protection. I applied this on an overcast day. it was kinda warm so i applied it to a small area approx 3'x3' area and buffed off in approx 1 minute after application. I used a quality microfiber towel flipping frequently. I thought the product came off fairly easily. Once it was complete the product looked great. I have a black Ford f150. it left the truck with a deep shine. Several neighbors stopped and complimented me on the truck. According to the manufacturer this should last about one year. I don't see that being possible but that could be me being skeptical. I am looking forward to the curing time to be over so i can see the final finish. It takes approx 3 hours to cure according to the Chemical Guys.Overall a somewhat expensive product but first run I feel it is worth the price.

Very good
This wax is noticeably different from other Chemical Guys products I’ve used so far. Instead of a creamy texture, it has more of a gel-like consistency. For ease of buffing, I’d rate it 3 out of 5.Glossiness gets a 4 out of 5.Water repellency is a solid 5 out of 5.I think I’ll be finishing my car washes with this wax for a while.I’m very satisfied with it.

What is this stuff?
Believe the Hype – HydroSlick Delivers!Saw the mixed reviews here on Amazon—some people struggled with clumpiness or application, but the overwhelming positivity won me over. So, I ordered it.While waiting for delivery, I went full detail-nerd mode, binge-watching every Chemical Guys tutorial I could find. I wanted to do it right.Fast forward to today—my wife and I prepped the car with Chemical Guys Clay and Spray Lube. Super easy—spray, glide, wipe dry. Took about an hour on my 2019 Ford Edge, and the paint already felt like glass. Then came HydroSlick… and let me tell you, application was a breeze. 4 dots on the applicator, dap around, spread, done. A single set of dots covered the entire hood. 30 seconds later, we wiped it down with microfiber towels two), one to remove, one to buff. Now, here’s where it gets real. My wife—who is never impressed by car products—was buffing when she suddenly said, “Damn.” I asked, What? She just looked at me, then at the car, and said, “Look at it… it’s beautiful.” And she was right! The shine? INSANE. The process? Effortless. The smell? Cinnamon magic. They say it lasts 8 months on a garage-kept car, but honestly? We had so much fun, I might be a “HydroSlick every 2-3 months” kind of guy.If you’re on the fence, just add it to your cart. You won’t regret it, I promise!

I'M A CHEMICAL GUYS FAN BUT THIS STUFF IS AWFUL!
I love Chemical Guys products. Every other CG product I’ve used - I really liked. This one is a HUGE exceptions. It is an absurdly bad product.Other reviewers have likened it to Jello. I disagree. Jello would be easier to use. It does have the look and consistency of Blueberry Jello. That is true. It also applies easily. That is the only good thing I can say. It goes on easily. Then it is unbelievably difficult to buff out. It normally takes me about an hour to wash and wax my car. I washed my car and dried it. Then applied this product. An hour later I was still trying to buff it out. Then I noticed it leaves these tiny “gummy” blue blobs of residue everywhere after buffing. Then it hazed over again so I buffed it again. Then it hazed over again. I buffed again. This happened 3 times. Buff, haze, buff again, haze again … get the picture. A day later it hazed hazed again. I had to clay bar that stuff off after that. Then I used two coats of CG JetSeal followed a day later with a coat of CG Butter Wax to give it a really deep shine.I wasted money and a LOT of time spreading this Jello on my car then fixing the mistake. Don’t duplicate my mistake. Purchase ANY OTHER Chemical Guys product and you will love it. But not this one.
