Winsor & Newton Cotman Watercolor Paint Set, Field Pocket Set, 12 Half Pan w/ Brush, Sponge, Bottle

In love! I have quite a few travel palattes & this is by far my favorite. I can keep this in my purse with the water reservoir filled & it’s easy to set up when I am at the park or restaurant with my 5 year old. He can play and I paint! I was at a Chic-fil-A and wanted to make Father’s Day cards & here is one that I completed. I’m only using the brush that comes with it this set and I love the turnout. It really is so perfect. The colors are lovely too! If you close this while the paint pans are wet it will kind of stick to the folding mixing surfaces and can cause a paint or two to pop out, however this doesn’t bother me in the slightest. I’ve completely closed this puppy in the middle of painting when my son has had to use the restroom and it didn’t ruin anything. Obviously the water cup I dumped out or held while on our way to the bathroom but the rest folded up and unfolded with no issue. I love it I will buy more just because I adore it. I wish it came in other case colors aside from white - but I’m thrilled so far.

Best recent purchase! Took it on vacation to nature and actually did some paintings. Very handy. Nice to be able to hold everything in one hand and paint with the other. If you’ve been thinking about getting this, do it and enjoy!

The first thing I recommend to people looking to get into water color. The colors are vibrant, and high quality even for a student set. Being that is from Windsor and newton my expectations were high, and met. The paint blends like a dream, sometimes a little too much! The watercolor is transparent, and in beautiful colors. It’s so much fun to just be able to bring that in my purse and have watercolors wherever I go! The palette can be cleaned with just a Clorox wipe, and it looks like new. 10/10 would buy again in a heartbeat

I have always loved Cotman watercolors. It doesn’t matter if they’re student grade. I’m only a hobbyist anyway. Their pigment is excellent and this little box is perfect for either the studio or plein air. I haven’t used the water container yet, so I can’t comment on that. The only reason for 4 stars is that the paints easily dislodge from the pans and the paint container could be a bit easier to remove for one with arthritic hands. I would recommend this to any water colorist regardless.

This is a lovely little set. I've already had so much fun using it on planes and trains! The little paint tabs fall out occasionally, but it's not a big deal. Recommend!

Very nice travel set! Bought it last second to take traveling. Really fun to use. Nice colors, very usable. Good neutrals, natural green. Blends well. Nicely pigmented. Easy to clean.

This set is great! I am so glad I bought this paint set as a beginner. So many sets for beginners are low quality. It puts people off painting because their work looks terrible-because the paint is terrible. I just love the ease of use the good quality colors and fast clean up of this kit.
