pleasant taste, good strength
Calcium citrate is the best absorbed form of calcium and this brand has a good strength as well. I like the slight vanilla taste and the fact that it is not too sweet. Easy to chew for those of us who can't deal with giant calcium pills.

Finally found calcium citrate I can tolerate.
I had bariatric surgery and have been struggling to find a source of calcium. Calcium citrate is really hard to find that’s not sweetened with stevia or similar. All those zero calorie sweeteners but especially stevia really don’t agree with me. I was stuck using calcium citrate powder- which works but is such a mess to prepare and consume 2-3 times a dayThis is way better. I’ve gotten more use to them as time goes on too.

No big pills to swallow!!
These are perfect for people who have difficulty swallowing large pills. They also taste really good and not like chalk as some calcium pills tend to. Great product and so glad Amazon carries them! (My doc also told me that these absorb better than the hard pills, so win-win!!)

Impossible to chew
Hard as a rock. I thought it might be me since I have low calcium - hence the need for the supplement - so difficulty chewing hard things, but even my partner could barely make a dent in a tablet. Got a refund since I had to chuck the whole bottle.

Chewable Calcium Citrate
Due to a combination of Osteopenia & Malabsorption, physicians recommended my wife take calcium citrate instead of the more common calcium carbonate. Calcium citrate is apparently more easily absorbed by the body. Afer an ileostomy we moved to chewable calcium citrate. Major retailers don't seem to carry chewable calcium citrate. We've found some in specialty nutrition stores but Amazon sellers seem to have better prices. (Although you have to also watch for high shipping charges.)So far we've tried two versions of chewable calcium citrate, this one and the Solaray Orange Flavor Chewable Calcium Citrate. Both are OK. However, the Carlson Chewable Calcium Citrate Vanilla Flavored is slightly grittier and, probably due to the vanilla, has a slightly smoky smell. Either the Solaray or the Carlson brands appear to be good options for chewable calcium citrate. For those of you who will be taking these for life it's likely worth your time & money to try both brands to determine which one is best for you or, like we have, switch between the two for variety.
