Klangfeiler® Hemming Tape - 0.75 INCH x 32 Yards - Extra Strong - Iron-On Hem Tape Adhesive

I’m using this product to create a satin pink carpet for a “roll out the red carpet” moment. The hold on this silk charmeuse onto carpet edging thread, without bleeding through or having to apply so much heat my material gets ruined, is perfect. I have my iron on 4 and hold it in place about 5-10 seconds to allow it to adhere. I’ve had to separate some of the adhered parts and flatten out some kinks in the fabric of my own doing, but with a little force separation is easy enough when it must be done. You can have confidence you will not be left with your hem falling apart on its own. It does leave some residue behind and pulls threads on more delicate fabrics when you’re forcefully separating but with some gentle work you can pick it off without your material looking too beat up. It’s a great value and the quality and adhesion is amazing. No stickiness at all. I just use pins to keep it in place as I move along.

Bought a couple of cotton/linen $20 dresses at Target that needed to be hemmed about an inch. I knew the tailor would charge that much a piece to hem them, so I decided to try this. I actually bought this and another brand/option. This one seems easier. I hemmed the dresses and they look great. I tried to pull the hem out just to see if it would hold, and it didn't move at all. I have not washed the dresses, but I would definitely use it again. I have no idea how it would work on other materials but was perfect for what I needed and would not hem other items this way again.

Haven't used yet but plan to crop all the tops I bought. I don't know why they are all so long and sloppy looking being so long. So much more stylish at a more becoming level. Hope they adjust the choices in time. For now it's going to be a lot of work to crop all I bought but it makes them so much more flattering!! Beautiful tops !!

Did what it was supposed to do

I had to him some curtains and I really did not want to take them to a Taylor and I did not want to have to sew anything. These worked like a charm. I would highly recommend this very easy to do. Find your perfect length get your iron out and use these bad boys and you’re in business.

I just used this mending tape for the first time. I'm surprised that the only instruction is to allow fifteen minutes for the hemmed item to cool. However, there is no instruction as to how hot should the iron be and use or don't use steam. Seems to me that the seam quality is very dependent on those factors. Can the omission of instructions be because the product is a German product made in China and sold in America? I used medium heat and it bonded, but if my pants fall down I'll have to lower the review. It seems to be holding so I'll give it three stars and I'll up or down the grade re: the fall factor.

Tape works well for sheer curtains but doesn’t seem to be strong enough for heavier curtains. We’re going to try doubling it up to see if that adds more adhesive power. There are no instructions for the tape. Instructions, or better yet, a QR code for a video would be very helpful.
