Light weight
The item is exactly as stated and cleans the soldering tips but it not all it was made out to be, the base of the item should have been made with a sort of fixation to assist with the job at hand especially when you are soldering.

Sponge Might Be Better
I'm not entirely sure about his product. Yes it basically works, but for me it does not clean an iron tip as well as the traditional damp sponge. Also, I found I needed to hold it down with my left hand when poking my iron into its innards; it needs to be stuck to the bench or made a lot heavier. Overall, not one of my best hobby purchases.

Tip
I clean my tip in this regularly. It polishes the tip really well. Sometimes, I like to flux my tip before shoving it back and forth in this to give my tip a nice shine.

Excellent well made product. I added some extra weight in the base to stop it moving around on the bench. Cleans the soldering tips perfectly.
