Giusto Sapore Italian Panettone Premium Fig Gourmet Bread 26.4 Ounce - Traditional Dessert - Imported from Italy and Family Owned

I received an expired Panettone. Disappointing. I was going to share this with friends.

Normally, I try to purchase the Granducale Italia Panettone Classico, 32 Ounce sold here at Amazon but it is currently unavailable, so I tried this one twice. On the positive side, it is nicely packaged and the two I received had months before the expiration date so they were "fresh" by that measure. Unfortunately, both were very dry and the fruit content was sparse. Both were dark, almost burned on the bottom and appeared overdone, at least in my opinion. I found it necessary to sprinkle a little water on each piece, and microwave it to make it moist. I won't be buying any more of these and I will wait until the Granducale Italia Panettone Classico, 32 Ounce is available again. Too bad!

I'm a panetone fan. This was probably the worst I have had. It was dry and did not have very much preserved fruit. I have had panetones that were a year old and they tasted great and were moist. This one was neither moist nor sweet.

Dry, old and hard.

Too good to be true. It is not the season for fresh panettone. Stale cake. I still can soak in egg batter for french toast, but was really jonesing for some fresh tasty panettone for breakfast. If you are are looking for fresh take a pass on this one. Have to wait for the holiday season.

This was terrible pannetone. There was a jelly-like pistachio filling but not 1 whole pistachio inside or out.Possible refund please? We will not eat it.Thank you

Arrived three days late, I'm sure it might had been wonderful. Was stale, had to throw it away. Was very gone.....

I buy panettone for my own family and for gift giving every Christmas. This was the first time I tried the Giusto Sapore brand for my family. I was disappointed. I bought two of them and they were both the same: The inner bread was flavorful enough, but *slightly* dry. However, the worst part was the much-too- dark top and bottom. They were the same color as the very dark brown paper that's wrapped around the sides; chocolate brown - and had a slightly burnt taste. I'll stick with the other brands from now on...
