Ahmad TeaBlack Tea, Ceylon Loose Leaf, 454g - Caffeinated & Sugar-Free

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Ordered just before the blast furnace fired up here down at 35N latitude, but I *love* this brand of Cardamom loose leaf tea. They aren't price gouging folk with this lovely massive tin of tea, and again, I mean, I just cannot recommend it highly enough. The tea leaves are the right size, the flavouring is perfect, and the black tea caffeine content does what it's meant to do. Not a "shy" tea. 180 degrees away from Darjeeling, if you are into that. If you know cardamom spice and you love it, I can not imagine you having any complaints with this tea. It's delicious. Also, mind, this is *real* tea--not that stuff that comes in bags, that's typically the sweepings off the tea room floor--so you'll need to have some kinda tea ball or strainer or such.I always make all my tea by the pot, and 4 minutes/8 grams for the typical "6 cup" tea pot is perfect (they call them "6 cup" tea pots; really they're closer to 4... 4 typical modern size "mugs" anyway).I'm so grateful I was able to get a true, full-size tin, reasonably priced, AND it's delicious!

This has become my favorite everyday tea. Strong, rich, fragrant. Not too acidic. Great hot or cold, w/ or w/o milk or sweetener. Leaves are not whole, but not broken so small that they get through the strainer in my handmade teapots. Let it brew for 5 min. and the leaves will stay in the bottom of your pot or tea bowl. Makes great Chai w/ some Garam Masala, milk and sweetener of your choice (I like a bit of Maple Syrup!).

This is my go-to morning tea. If you like cardamom, this is for you. The quality is top notch. the tea comes in a sealed, lined paper/foil bag for freshness. Tastes great, and smells wonderful.the tea is loose leaf, throw this in your favorite infuser, or as i do, a french press, add water, and wait for a great cup of tea. i personally love some cream with mine. i tend to steep mine a bit longer as i like the tannin taste, but if you follow the directions, the tannin taste isnt present and it it super smooth.

Very clean, no stem/dust, just wish had stronger taste; for that, you need to make more amount of tea. All Ahmed teas are great.

I'm enjoying my first pot of Ahmad Tea -- Aromatic Earl Grey.The balance between bergamot and tea flavor leans very heavily towards Bergamot. Weak tea flavor, strong bergamot flavor. If that's "your cup of tea", this is definitely the tea for you! Myself, I find it a bit strong. I will blend unflavored black tea with this tea to tone it down a bit.The color and scent of the tea is lovely. The tea is very fresh.I ordered this in November 2023. Packing date as indicated on box is June 20, 2023 and best by date is June 20, 2026. I appreciate the full disclosure on the box.Pros:- Value for money.- If you love strong bergamot, this tea is for you!- Attractive box. It could be a gift. You'd still wrap it, but looks better than a grocery store tea box.- Packing date and best buy date printed on box.- Arrived very fresh.- Great scent, great color.Neutral:- I can feel the caffeine in this tea. My guess (this is only a guess, but I drink a pot of tea every day) is thatit is well caffeinated. If you like your caffeine, this is the tea for you!- Distributed by Ahmad Tea of London and packed in Sri Lanka.Cons:- May be heavily flavored for your taste if you are accustomed to grocery store Earl Grey tea as I am.- A pound of tea is a lot of tea. You'll have to repackage it in airtight containers to keep it fresh. Thepackage tells you to store it in an airtight container.- The envelope in the box folds closed but not as securely as, for example, a Lipton loose tea foilenvelope. Repackaging is definitely advised.

I liked the taste and the value. I have tried several teas from this brand and while I like some flavors and not others I have found several I like. The hard part is finding it on amazon without being over priced to account for fees and shipping. I like this flavor and I like that I can put it into a bottle in the morning and it is perfect to drink in the afternoon.

This is what you should buy if you are not into being tea bagged. I love mine! Good quality tea right here!

Smells so amazing and has a little bit of sweetness compared to a typical black tea. Absolutely love it!
