Bought this set of brushes as my first step into the hobby of miniature painting a few days ago. I am by no means a pro, but I found these brushes to be comfortable and easy to use. They also seem to resist fraying a bit better than the citadel brush that came with the paint set I got to go with it.The variety of sizes makes getting into tight spaces or doing fine detail work much simpler, and I found the dry brushes are good for applying a base coat. I haven’t needed a brush this set doesn’t have yet.I am very happy with this set and will likely get it again after I wear these current brushes out. I’ve surprised myself with the results I’ve gotten using these brushes. If you’re looking for a simple brush set for a decent price, this one did the trick for me.

Best paint brush for miniatures I've ever used.I'm no professional, though I've spent hundreds of hours painting table-top miniatures. I've used super cheap-o brushes from Walmart to very expensive 'professional' brushes found at a hobby shop or online. These brushes are wonderful; the very best that I've used. From their very comfortable grip to the longevity of the brush, itself, fantastic value.

I've bought almost every cheap brush set on Amazon with 1000+ reviews and I've gone down the rabbit hole buying Kolinsky sable Winsor and Newton or other brushes that cost more than double what this set costs for a single brush. I keep coming back to the type 1 Golden Maple. It's simply the best brush: it holds paint well, it holds shape perfectly after month of use, the handle is nice, and it doesn't pineapple out or lose hairs after some initial shedding in the first use. It has outlasted every other brush including the sable brushes and it performs just as well as when it was new. Just clean it between uses and use a brush preserver like General's between uses and it will last literally years.The makeup style brushes in this set are also excellent and among the best dry brushes I have, though they do get consumed quickly like all dry brushes.I wish they had a small flat, otherwise this set is perfect.

These paint brushes are perfect if you need good quality brushes on a budget. They're easy to hold and the bristles are secure. These are easy to use and clean up nicely. If taken care of properly, I can see these lasting a few years.

These are a good selection of brushes both for detailing and dry brushing.I've not experienced any bristle loss or breakdown.With care and their intended use I expect they'll hold up well. For the price they're worth it. Recommend.

Wonderful variety that offers the perfect size for different applications. Holds paint well, and is excellent not only for details; but also to correct paint mishaps that can only be corrected with brushes such as these , stiff , and so far great shape retention but most importantly allow for careful detailing and movement while creating and preserving (error fixing) your master piece . Mt favorite part is the grip that is highly unusual for regular brushes . This set is a great addition to any painters tool box especially multi medium artists.

I was hesitant to order a new set of paint brushes from Amazon, as I've picked them out in person at Hobby Lobby for years. Recently I began having an issue with the bristles at the tip gluing themselves together. I still can't figure out what's going on and have tried multiple suggestions to fix it. Nothing works. Out of desperation, I decided to give these a try. I figured if they were poor quality, I could always return them. I'm shocked to say the least at how durable and well made these are! They get the job done and I've yet to have a problem with them. They are a nice size, comfortable to hold, and well worth the money! Great for detailed paintings.

Well made great points, my only complaint is that they are slippery and you can fumble them in trying to grasp them. Great for line work, nice stable brush head.
