Thoughtfully Designed Tumbler
I’m the proud owner of a 12 oz Kinto tumbler. I’ve had this Kinto tumbler for a month and am very satisfied with my purchase so far. I will share a few specific points:1. I like the design—the shape of the Kinto Travel Tumbler is aesthetically appealing to me and the ergonomics of holding it in my hand are really nice. I got the 12oz tumbler and it’s actually got a slightly smaller diameter than the MiiR Tumbler, which makes it a bit easier to hold in my hand. To be fair, the wider diameter makes the MiiR more stable in a car cup holder, but I still find my Kinto stays upright if properly stowed.2. The Kinto insulates my coffee better than my 12oz MiiR Flip Tumbler (had it for several years). I have always felt that my MiiR did not keep coffee as hot as they claim. This is very common with insulated tumblers—the marketing claims they keep a drink hot for 10 hours, but in reality normal users may see 2-4 hours. I chock this up to the original temperature of the liquid, the ambient temp, the number of times you take the lid on and off-the list goes on. Here’s what I like about the Kinto: they claim it keeps coffee hot for up to 6 hours, and I actually believe it. I appreciate that their marketing claim is realistic. I have had my coffee stay on the hotter end of warm for 2-3 hours. Since I tend to like my coffee hot, I was often disappointed that my MiiR did not keep coffee very hot for longer than 1 to 1.5 hours before serious heat loss was apparent. I really do believe my Kinto does a better job, and I believe a key factor is the plastic flow control disc in the middle lid component, which prevents excessive heat loss while the tumbler is open, yet still allows comfortable drinking. I really love the flow control disc and feel this makes it safe to leave the top lid off and let it sit in a cupholder and drink from it periodically while I commute to work.3. The Kinto stainless steel seems to clean up very nicely. I hand wash my Kinto after every use with fragrance free dish soap and warm water, which keeps it primed and ready to use and preserve the coffee flavor of my next brew. I make sure to remove the silicone rings and wash them, too, which is a very easy process. With my MiiR, I hand washed with soap and water, but admittedly I did not clean that deeply after every use because I found it more difficult to clean, specifically it’s the MiiR Flip lid that is a bit annoying to clean up deeply. So overall, I find cleaning the Kinto simple and not to bothersome given the end result is so great the next day.-On the topic of staining: I have not noticed any staining on the stainless steel on my Kinto travel tumbler. My MiiR has tended to pick up and hold onto coffee stains, though recently a got Cafiza and now that removes all stains and leave the steel shining. I honestly believe this clean steel improves the taste of the coffee I put on the tumbler as well.-The Kinto 2-piece lid: this was arguably one of my main concerns when buying, as two silicone rings means two points of potentially major failure. However, I really like the 2 piece lid now that I have experienced the setup. The reason is that the first lid component has the flow control disc, which really works well, and it has a pleasant thin lip to drink from, which I love. It’s hard plastic, but I prefer that to stainless steel on the lip, since it’s not sharp at all and it does not absorb much heat from the liquid. For the top, it screws into place very nicely—there is a special threading that allows you to twist it on easily for the first part of the turn, then when you finish the turn it locks it into place more securely, which is evidence of thoughtful design. All in all, the Kinto Tumbler is now my go-to travel tumbler. While I’m at home, I tend to opt for an Origami ceramic mug or even a Yeti mug, as they are easier to use and clean. But if I’m going to work or on a brief day trip, the Kinto is coming with me nowadays! Definitely recommended!

Get this instead of a Fellow Carter
After a couple years of using a Fellow Carter Move mug, I got sick of the Carter's smell. It seems to be a common issue, but I haven't found a good solution. That led me to look for a new mug, and I decided on the Kinto. It's slimmer to hold and really nice to drink out of because of the thin rim, it's also easier to use while driving than the Carter because of the splash guard in the lid. I haven't noticed any smell, which is a big advantage for me!The appearance is also awesome. I got the Khaki color and it looks great, it doesn't have any dents or scratches after several months of use and multiple trips. There hasn't been any impact to the flavor and coffee stays hot for several hours, I've kept a fresh cup in it for four hours and it was still plenty hot after that time. My only complaint is that it's too narrow to brew directly into with an Aeropress.Overall, this is the best travel mug that I've used and I highly recommend it.

Buy it
I've had a ton of insulated cup and this one is best for travel and work. Hot stays hot for HOURS. I'll make a cup of coffee in the morning and it's still hot in the afternoon. Solid seal, throw it in a backpack without worrying about it spilling. Easy to clean with no moving parts, and no straw or spout exposed to the air so you're not putting your mouth on something that's been floating around in bags all dayI left one of these in a bowling alley in Idaho and ordered a new one on the way back cause I can't travel without it.

Mocha confirmed, minor spillage though
Perfect for Mocha and Hot Chocolate drinkers, can confirm. Maintains hot temperature.Sleek matte design and finish. Solid in the hand as you take a sip of that post-cocoa and coffee bean deliciousness.Does spill ever so slightly if you lift it to high and proceed to drink as if you’ve been dehydrated and your nearest beverage was in this tumbler.

Finally hot coffee!
My son recommended this tumbler to me because I’m always complaining about my lukewarm coffee. I own an overpriced Ember cup, and it keeps my coffee hot for about an hour, then it quickly gets cold. I like to take my time with my daily one cup of Jo. This thing literally keeps it hot for hours! I’m so stoked! I love the size too, it fits perfectly in my car holder. The first one of these I ordered, the lid didn’t close flush , so they sent a replacement and the 2nd one is perfect. Worth the wait.
